This is a very attractive electro-acoustic model from Takamine, the EG404C is a Limited Edition instrument that uses AAA Flamed Maple for the top back and sides which is then further enhanced by the decorative use of Abalone around the edge of the body and cut-away as a binding and also around the sound hole where it is presented as a Rosette ...

The Mahogany neck has a Rosewood fret board which again uses Abalone inlays as fret orientation markers, the cosmetics of the EG404C are complimented by gold machine heads whilst the headstock is finished in the same Vintage Burst colour as the body.

Sound is courtesy of the on-board TP4T pre-amp that provides 3 band EQ plus a volume slider and on-board tuner and sits on the left hand shoulder of the guitar, it also provides a battery compartment for the 9v battery that drives the electronic circuitry.
